How to Lower the Opacity of a Node in DaVinci Resolve

DaVinci Resolve is so complex and has so many amazing features. It’s not simple trying to figure out how to change the opacity of a node in DaVinci Resolve, but I have written a short, simplified step-by-step guide on how to do this.

Step 1 – Go to the Color tab

In the Color tab, you will need to go to change the settings. It will open up the node panel where you will apply the adjustments of your colors.

Step 2 – Select the node you want to lower the opacity of

Simple as it says, select the node you want to lower the opacity on and make the adjustments.

Step 3 – Go to the ‘Key’ tab

Select the ‘Key‘ tab located in the middle of the user interface.

Step 4 – Change the ‘Key Output’

Now, here is where you will adjust the opacity. It’s quite straightforward from here on. All you need to do is lower the gain of the node.
